Marine Carrier Bond

Canadian Border Services (CBSA) requires each marine carrier to apply for their own carrier code and their own bond. CBSA requires that the CAD $25,000 "D120" bond be filed together with the Carrier Code Application in order to assign the carrier code.

The preferred method of payment for the bond is by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). It is also recommended that 3 years premium be paid in advance to reduce costs to all parties. Premium for a 3 year bond is CAD $1,050.
